2024 Men’s Health Forum

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc Pi Upsilon Lambda Charitable Foundation in conjunction with the Pi Upsilon Lambda Chapter present the 2024 Men’s Health Forum.  The Men’s Health Forum will take place on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Maple Springs Baptist Church located at 4131 Belt Road Capitol Heights, MD 20743 from 10am to 2pm. The theme for the 2024 Men’s Health Forum is: “Better Health | Better Wealth”.

The 2024 Men’s Health Forum will consist of moderated panels designed to promote knowledge and awareness specific to financial wellness, physical and mental wellness, prevention and maintaining health status. 

The 2024 Men’s Health Forum is made possible thanks to generous support and sponsorship by The Prince George’s County Council, the Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission, the AIDS Healthcare Foundation through its Black Leadership AIDS Crisis Coalition (BLACC) AIDS Health Foundation, and the Emerging Leaders Impact Fund Executive Committee.

2024 Men’s Health Goals

• Provide panel discussion on mental and physical health for boys, young men, and adult men. Participants will be provided with:
  • Opportunities to ask questions of health professionals.
  • Information to increase health knowledge and awareness.
  • Practical tools to promote and maintain health.

Provide a panel discussion on financial wellness. Participants will be provided with:

• Opportunities to ask questions of financial professionals.
• Information to increase financial knowledge and awareness.
• Practical tools to promote financial wellness.

Provide access to health information and resources for for boys, young men, and adult men. Participants will be provided with:

• Health education materials.
• Health resources.
• Opportunities to talk directly to health educators. 
• Opportunities to talk directly to health providers.
