SUMMARY:Annual Winter Coat Drive
DESCRIPTION:With the increase in the cost of living many of our families are struggling to make ends meet. Families are finding it particularly hard to put food on the table and provide basic necessities. The Pi Upsilon Lambda Charitable Foundation and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.\, Pi Upsilon Lambda Chapter\, have been helping families in Prince George’s County to fill the gap for the past 30 years providing tutoring\, mentoring\, food\, clothes\, coats\, and other winter accessories. We have provided over 500 NEW COATS for PreK-12 students attending Prince George’s County Public Schools in just the past four (4) years alone. \nWe are asking you to join us\, along with our friends and corporate partners\, to provide coats and winter accessories for students in need this year. In the past\, we have received donations from individuals\, as well as sponsorship to assist with securing the coats. To support as many students as possible and make efficient use of all donations\, we will be placing orders throughout the holiday season. DESCRIPTION:Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity\, Inc Pi Upsilon Lambda Charitable Foundation in conjunction with the Pi Upsilon Lambda Chapter present the 2024 Men’s Health Forum.  The Men’s Health Forum will take place on Saturday\, June 22\, 2024\, at Maple Springs Baptist Church located at 4131 Belt Road Capitol Heights\, MD 20743 from 10am to 2pm. The theme for the 2024 Men’s Health Forum is: “Better Health | Better Wealth”. \nThe 2024 Men’s Health Forum will consist of moderated panels designed to promote knowledge and awareness specific to financial wellness\, physical and mental wellness\, prevention and maintaining health status.  \nThe 2024 Men’s Health Forum is made possible thanks to generous support and sponsorship by The Prince George’s County Council\, the Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission\, the AIDS Healthcare Foundation through its Black Leadership AIDS Crisis Coalition (BLACC) AIDS Health Foundation\, and the Emerging Leaders Impact Fund Executive Committee. \n2024 Men’s Health Goals \n\nProvide panel discussion on mental and physical health for boys\, young men\, and adult men.
